Brilliant news live dates and a new album ! I take everything Kevin says with with a huge pinch of salt but fingers crossed  it could be a very intresting year.

Fingers crossed, I'm not sure what I'm looking forward to more - live shows or new material...!

Both. I wouldn't want to see more live shows with the same set as 2013, which in itself was the same at 2009 with at most four off of mbv slotted in. That sounds like I didn't enjoy the gigs, I really did but I'd be looking for a bit more variation again next time. Keeping my 2018 diary clear for now.

The good news is that we definitely might get a new album within the next 5-10 years
Remember Kev's 1997 "when can we hear some new material? Definitely sometime this year or I'm dead..." interview ?

I'm expecting it sooner than that if it's already shaping up to be 7 or 8 tracks. Plus circumstances are different now - m b v was a success, no record company about to pull the plug etc.

the relatively short time frame plus Kevin having at least gig lined up give me some hope. Granted, Spring seems somewhat optimistic (for Kevin), but I would guess somewhere around Summer at least.

Do we still have no idea what this gig in Iceland is going to consist of?
