Where they say they would do that for the fans and for themselves rather than critics acceptance I kinda think that's what they meant

Either way that's great and it's a good attitude to have.

Neil has a studio so they can record whenever they want without having to worry too much about money, or expectations from labels. Kind of the same way that Kevin can work on mbv stuff.
