Also When You Wake is introduced as "Colm's song" probably because he co-wrote it. From memory I think he did the lyrics.

Fractured is a good way to describe No More Sorry. It's pretty rhythmically fractured as well. I can't figure out the timing of it at all.

Similarly, I've never been able to work out the rhythm of 'All I Need'!!

I've sort of thought of it as being a throbbing, relentless pulse, severe but beautiful, yet sort of stunted, pushing forward whilst never moving. but I think of a lot of their music that way. it's really spacious and without a truly discernible form, and it is kind of stagnant (which I think is brought on by Kevin speeding up the tapes), but it is so regimented and the sort-of motorik that they use ties it together rhythmically and keeps it moving. then of course when Colm plays it live it teeters on the brink of collapse, as is his style. definitely one of the most underrated drummers of all time.

some more covers...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf41GBiOGV4 Deerhoof - Lose My Breath. I actually quite like this. Satomi's vocal really suits it, although it can be a bit grating at times.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4jDESk-WaU The Mathletes - Only Shallow. Found this lump of shit on youtube.

I don't think either of those songs has a steady meter at all.

'All I Need' live? Change would be a fine thing!! Orgasmic.

ah, we can dream...I'm not sure whether I want a setlist change up though, because as much as I would love to hear new stuff I would also love to hear them play those nostalgia sets from '08/'09. by the way, are any of you coming out for the shows, or are you holding out for more European/US dates? because I can assure you these shows will be absolutely fucking mad.

I normally like them, but that was fucking terrible.  Dogs everywhere are crying from that EQing.

Ha, yeah, I just posted about that in the "other bands" thread. At first I thought the whole thing was by Boris. Sadly not.

so does anyone know who any of the bands are? when you sleep is shonen knife, and only shallow and I only said are Tokyo...(something, my Japanese is a bit limited).

I do love me some Boris but I really do wish they would return to their heavy doom style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ournfIW0a4w as opposed to this dream-pop sound they've been mining for a while.
