Listen to the original and notice the difference. This shit is Kevin Shields. It's fucking gnarly. Holocaust at 4:17. Just paste the title of this thread in YouTube if you want to hear it. New MBV music.

New MBV music.

Erm... This is about 12 years old, isn't it?

Yes. Didn't mean it literally. The point is that it's fucking original Kevin Shields music and no one speaks of it.

Half of that statement is correct.

I like it too. It's always been my favorite of his remixes.

I also like the "If the move Kill 'em" Primal Scream MBV Sun Ra Arkestra remix. It seems to me that he hit a really good stretch there, when he was using the remixing as a way to push his own mixing. He's not holding back anything, which is great!

I remember reading him talk about the "If they move kill 'em" remix, he gave himself a 24 hour time limit. The remix is a fevered headfuck, the drums come in way too loud, you can hear levels change as he plays the mixing board, but it's so alive. I have the Cd-single version, and the track quadruples in volume by the end.

Yeah, I really that one too. I love all of Xtrmntr but whenever I listen to that in isolation, and the Mogwai one, it makes me curious about what a more electronic / sound manipulation direction for him solo or MBV would've been like. I should check out more of his remixes really, there's a fairly comprehensive list somewhere online.
