sadly, I've yet to experience mbv live...god knows the last time they were in south florida, hopefully I'll catch them on a proper tour if they were to do one.. they were not in the states long enough on the reunion.

Having seen MBV four times last year I'm wondering / hoping, despite being blown away by every holocaust I experienced, if MBV might drop it from their upcoming shows in favor of doing more / new songs......

love it, but might not need it ever again

maybe not in the way they used to do it, but kevin did want to explore it in more of a song type way... very loud intoxicating type of noise like the holocaust with little bits of melody hidden inside

MBV dropping the holocaust would be the equivalent of Paul McCartney dropping "Hey Jude" from the end of his setlists.

Good point. I do kinda agree. Would defo prefer those new songs. It is thoroughly incredible when you experience it, though...

well both McCartney and mbv will be playing coachella, maybe they could do an end of set medley with mccartney singing hay jude through kevins effects pedals...

take a sad song ........................................

HA, kevin and paul might as well have their own duet

they could do a live mashup entitled "Something/Sometimes"

I always thought dropping Hey Jude would be a good thing.

Ha ha! Followed by the "To here knows when I'm 64" medley!

Re: YMMR - I'd also rather hear new songs than enter the holocaust hole again, epic as it was. Also: my tinnitus (which I've nicknamed 'Kevin') is almost gone now. (Serves me right for taking my earplugs out for all of 30 seconds!)

I'll lose cred for admitting this, but I totally forgot that they go back into the "song" part of it afterwards. That was what made my jaw drop the most.
