Title: Site Registration
Post by: Soft As Snow on March 28, 2009, 07:53:57 AM
If you want to register for the site, I'm only registering people manually due to all the spammers trying to sign up in the past. I opened it up briefly today and already had one spammer, so i decided to close it again.

please email with your desired username and email address. i will create a password for you that you can later change

Yeah, shame about all the spam. Still, it gave me a good signature.

I was a bit surprised to see the "new member has registered" notifications in my inbox this morning.

Actually, I have been wondering if there is any sort of CAPTCHA filter that can be used during the registration process to filter some of the spambots so we could reopen registration again.  Is there anything like this that can be implemented?

Thanks - I appreciate you opening it for me!

But if you filter out all the Spambots, how the hell will we ever know when Goatse: The Next Generation comes out on DVD?

HI!

Yes, but that's Blu-Ray only.

I'm sorry, but we're too poor to drop that much money on something that may or may not die out in a couple years.

I've seen that before. Made me cringe a little bit.

Incidentally, I have the 2 Girls 1 Cup shirt. Always goes down well on nights out.

Anyone had the misfortune to see 2 Guys 1 Horse? My eyes!

I had to look that up(1 guy, 1 cup).
Didn't realise you meant the Ass-Jar vid - thought you were making things up.

I think I'll avoid any of the horse-related ones. I can handle seeing a lot of fucked up things, but the stuff involving dogs, horses, etc make my stomach turn.

In the spirit of transparency, this is mostly so we can filter out all of the spambots, as it's something that was a huge problem on this site and an even bigger problem in the previous incarnation of this board.  This isn't Studio 54 and Soft As Snow isn't Ian Schrager (though I may very well be Steve Rubell); we won't reject your membership for no clearly definable reason (assuming your email/IP doesn't happen to have a history of spamming other forums with links to Adult Friend Finder clones).  On the 0.01% chance that you do get rejected though, reregister and email me about it and I'll get you set up.

In short, if you're reading this and you haven't registered yet, you should register.

registration is closed again, due to me being unable to tell who are bogus and who aren't.

if you want to join, send me an email and let me know you are a real person. send me the email and username you want to use again

Thanks for registering me, Soft as Snow!

I used to post here many years ago. Before the site crashed? During those hopeless years before City Girl even.
